Volvo penta school

So for three days last week i was sent up to the volvo service school in burnaby canada for training on the D9-d16 MH (marine Heavy). the class started off with just covering the basics of the engine, what kind of applications they have been used in and what they want to start seeing them used in. that went on for the first day and a half. the last one of the half days of the training went over volvo penta's EVC system which stands for electronic vessel control. they briefly covered all eleven generations of the system along with the little problem assiocieted to each one. what i found interesting is how they talked about how each system started to encorporate a digtal vs using analog communication till the point it became all digital in EVC version E. then we practiced setting up some of the newer EVC systems.
