hours

Inspect
the zinc rods in the cooling system and if they have deteriorated replace them
·
First
50 hours- change the fluid and fliter in the marine gear
Every 250 hours
·
Take
an S.O.S sample of the gear and lube oil. To obtain the samples it is
recommended to use a sample gun and insert it into the sump
·
Change
lube oil and oil filter every 250 hours until enough oil samples have been
taken to establish a proper oil change interval (fliter # 1r0716)
·
Check
racor filters and drain the bowls, change filters if needed
·
Change
final fuel filter (filter # 1r0749)
·
Check
for coolant additive concentration using 8t5296 coolant additive test kit
·
Clean
crankcase breather
·
Inspect
and replace accessory belts
Every 1000 hours
·
Drain
and replace filter on the gear
·
Clean
breather on transmission
·
Lubricate
transmission output shaft seal
·
Lubricate
tachometer drive
·
Lubricate
control linkage fittings
·
Check/adjust
set point and low idle settings
·
Inspect
engine protection devices
Every 3000 hours
·
Check/adjust
valve lash
·
Clean
and flush cooling system
·
Replace
water pump seal
·
Replace
thermostat, gaskets and seal
·
Inspect
engine mounts
·
Inspect
vibration dampener
Every 5000 hours
·
Remove
injectors and have them tested and if needed replaced
·
Inspect
turbocharger and if needed either rebuild or exchange
·
Inspect
water pump and if needed exchange or rebuild
·
Inspect
altenator and starting motor for proper operation
·
Replace
main and connecting rod bearings
Every 10,000 hours
·
Complete
rebuild
